TREE PROJECT
We encourage everyone to get out and re-fuel and re-connect in nature, especially those needing more of the Earth element and trees are ones of our favorites!
This is our way to make an impact and ensure that future generations always have plenty of magical forest to escape to!
We have chosen to donate initially to the re-forestation of the National Parks in the United States that have been devastated by drought and wild fires. For EVERY purchase made with Winged Witch we will plant a tree!

Why trees?

Trees are symbols of strength, individuality, peace, growth and the interconnectedness of everything.
The Celtic belief is that the Tree of Life is a symbol of longevity, wisdom, and strength. A representation of the link between spirit and earth, mind and body and the never-ending cycle of life. The Celts believed that the Tree of Life was a symbol of longevity, wisdom and strength. They even believed that trees were actual ancestors of man and provided a gateway to the spirit world.
The Ogham, known as the 'Celtic Tree Alphabet' is an ancient alphabet that has been found inscribed on rocks dating back to the 6th, and possibly 4th century AD. Some believe it to be even older. The individual characters can be translated into modern letters and each one is thought to be represented by a native tree. Today Ogham is used as as a metaphysical tool much like that of the Runes.
